Forum: how to ask without revealing your child's data

Reading time approx. 2 min · Fundacja One Reason

The principle

A forum is meant to help and to protect the child. Your question should be general, without names, addresses, phone numbers, names of institutions, or screenshots.

Instead of details

Don't write: "Primary School No. 12 in a specific town is refusing me access."

Write: "A school is refusing to give me information. How can I calmly ask about the procedure and the documents required?"

Don't publish

  • your child's data,
  • the other parent's name,
  • addresses,
  • phone numbers,
  • screenshots,
  • medical records,
  • case references with full personal details.

If you need the details

Write the details down in a private journal, or prepare them for a conversation with a lawyer.

Informational material by the One Reason Foundation (Fundacja One Reason). Not legal advice; for individual matters consult a family lawyer or the relevant institution.
