Information report: how to write neutrally

A report is not a verdict

A report is meant to put events in order. It should not decide guilt, make diagnoses, or label the other parent as the wrongdoer without a ruling.

Good headings

• Log of contact and information,
• Timeline of contact,
• Summary of events,
• Information report.

Headings to avoid

• don't use: report of guilt,
• don't use: evidence against the parent,
• don't use: alienation report,
• don't use: list of the other parent's violations.

What strengthens a report

Dates, times, neutral description, documents, confirmations of contact attempts, and a clear separation of the event from emotions.

What weakens a report

Insults, big words, assigning intentions, screenshots with third parties' data, and a chaotic timeline.
